Analytical Research & Development (AR&D) - API
- Position: Trainee (Male candidates only)
- Qualifications: B.Pharmacy or M.Pharmacy (Analysis) or M.Sc. in Organic/Analytical Chemistry
- Experience: 0-1 year
- Skills: Knowledge of analytical instruments like HPLC and GC, method validation, strong academic background, and good communication skills.
Synthesis Research & Development (R&D)
- Position: Trainee (Male candidates only)
- Qualifications: M.Sc. in Organic/Analytical Chemistry
- Experience: 0-1 year
- Skills: Ability to conduct experiments, maintain laboratory notebooks, strong academic background, and good communication skills.

Biophore specializes in the production of specialized sections of medicines known as Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). These are the active ingredients that cause medicines to work.

- Cancer Treatments (Oncology): Supporting in fighting a variety of cancers.

Where Do They Make Medicines?
Biophore manufactures their medicines in four major locations, all situated within the JN Pharma City in Vizag, India. Each has its own special function:
- API Unit 1: Pioneered in 2010, this can produce small and large volumes of medicines, including cancer therapies.
- API Unit 2: This is units that produce in large quantities medicines.
- API Unit 3: Here, they manufacture specialty proteins and hormones, including equipment to freeze-dry products.
- API Unit 4: The latest unit, it can produce a range of medicines, from pilot-scale to commercial.
How Do They Ensure Quality?
Biophore places a high importance on quality. Its squad of more than 400 scientists operates out of a sprawling, high-tech lab.
These scientists research and develop new medicines with cutting-edge tools. Biophore's plants are inspected and approved by global health authorities including the US FDA and the European Medicines Agency. This means they abide by high standards for creating safe and effective medicines.

The COVID-19 pandemic hit the world and Biophore came forward to help. They were given the go-ahead to produce the medicine Favipiravir - a medicine used to treat COVID-19 patients who have mild to moderate symptoms. It demonstrated their capacity to mobilize quickly for global health emergencies and provide significant solutions.
Innovations in Medicine
Biophore thrives to find multiple solutions for patients. They invented and began synthesizing key components of Nirmatrelvir, one of the active constituents of Paxlovid, a medicine used to combat COVID-19. This worked to decrease dependency on imports and helped enable more patients to get this vital treatment.
