PM Modi on AI, Space & Women Empowerment in Mann Ki Baat (February 2025)
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said that India is making rapid strides in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and venturing into the "space" sector, while women are making a mark in the new space sector of the country, in the latest episode of his monthly radio program, “Mann Ki Baat.”
India’s Progress in Artificial Intelligence:
Highlighting India's increasing position in the AI space, Prime Minister Modi stated how India looks forward to adopting technology and experimenting with it. While speaking about his recent visits to the AI Action Summit in Paris, he said India is being recognized all over the world for bringing a transformative AI policy. “So recently I went to Paris to attend a big AI conference. It was truly appreciated the world over in India for decades in this field there.”
One of the most remarkable examples of using AI in India is Thodasam Kailash, a government school educator from Adilabad, Telangana. Kailash has written songs in the tribal Kolami language, using the treasures of AI tools, in an endeavor that not merely persists the tribal language but brings to the court AI in the name of environmental preservation. Prime Minister Modi salute Kailash for devote to the said, His love for digital music is helping to preserve tribal languages.
Remembering space travel milestones:
The Prime Minister further noted India's tremendous activity in space technology. He compared the recent landmark, with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) launching its 100th rocket, to a cricket century. He described as a source of pride the determination of the country to achieve greater heights in space science as exemplified in successful missions like Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan, Aditya L-1 and the successful launch of 104 satellites in a single mission.
Pointing to the growing involvement of women in space science, Modi said that the involvement of women in space scientists was increasing. He said that with a number of startups/private companies in the space sector, it has become a sector of interest for the youth and added that the opportunities available for young innovators in this sector would be exciting.
Inspiring Scientific Curiosity & Women's Empowerment:

He intends to turn his social media accounts over to selected women so they may reach a wider audience to share their experiences and work. In addition, this gesture of gratitude intends to celebrate women and remind of the commitment to recognize women and their role in society.
